Bel Air Classroom

• Friday September 24th from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Perry Hall Classroom

• Saturday September 11th from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
• Sunday September 19th from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

License candidates will now venture onto public roads after successfully completing maneuvers on a closed course. The closed course includes Parallel Parking and a Reverse Two Point Turnabout. This is a lengthy term to describe backing into a parking space on the right. The old turnabout and backing in a straight line have been eliminated from the test.

The MVA has also issued a guide called “How to Prepare for Your Drivers Test” that you may pick up from the Bel Air MVA, Premier Driving School or download here.

On testing day you must present the following documents to the MVA:

• Learner’s Permit
• 60 Hour Certification Form
• Vehicle registration
• Proof of Insurance

Also on testing day the examiner will inspect your vehicle for the following item:

• 1/2 tank of gas or more
• No dashboard warning lights illuminated
• Car must be reasonably clean and free of debris
• Must be able to pass a Maryland Safety Inspection

Now that it has finally stopped snowing, check the list below for the updated drivers education classroom schedules. The list below might be kind of intimidating. Please call 410-877-7100 or 443-969-2241 from Essex if you have any questions or if you have a conflict with any of the dates and times.  We can make alternative arrangements on a case by case basis.

Bel Air

The 3 PM to 5:10 PM class that started on February 3^rd will now run from February 17^th to March 5^th at the regular time.

The 6 PM to 9:10 PM class that started on January 25^th will make up their last two sessions:

• Session 9: February 12^th from 11 AM to 2:10 PM
• Session 10: February 13^th from 6 PM to 9:10 PM

The 6 PM to 9:10 PM class that was scheduled to start on February 10^th will now be as follows:

• Session 1: February 12^th from 3 PM to 6:10 PM
• Session 2: February 14^th from 11 AM to 2:10 PM
• Sessions 3-10: February 15 to February 25^th from 6 PM to 9:10 PM
  

The 3 PM to 6:10 PM Weekend class that started on January 16^th will resume classes starting February 13^th and 14^th.  We will extend the class to February 20^th, 21^st at regular time and February 28^th from 11 AM to 2:10 PM to make up the missed sessions.

Abingdon

The 6 PM to 9:10 PM class that started on January 25^th will make up their last two sessions:

• Session 9: February 13^th from 10 AM to 1:10 PM
• Session 10: February 14^th from 10 AM to 1:10 PM

Essex

The 3 PM to 5:10 PM class that started on February 2^nd will now run from February 17^th to March 4^th at the regular time.

Therefore, we have decided to hold classes this evening as scheduled.  Please remember to use caution on the road when driving tonight.  If you would prefer not to attend class tonight you can reschedule for a later date.
